COLORADO SPRINGS -

All three Custer County Commissioners will face a recall election this fall.

More than 800 signatures were turned in to recall each commissioner on August 14th.

The grassroots campaign hoping to get these officials out of office are citing closed door meetings, a violation of sunshine laws, among a laundry list of other things.

The Custer County Clerk has since verified all three petitions.

Voters will be asked if they want to recall each commissioner individually on the November ballot.

Now, successor candidates can also start petitioning to get on the ballot.
