Academy Little League hoping to make it to Little League World Series

Posted: Updated:
COLORADO SPRINGS -

Academy Little League is hoping to go further than any other Little League baseball team in Colorado Springs.

The baseball team is heading to Waco, Texas for their regional tournament and if they win their regional, they will head to Williamsport, Pennsylvania for the Little League World Series.

Before their send off, Colorado Springs Mayor John Suthers and Olympian Stephen Garbett wished them well and tried to give the team words of inspiration before the tournament.

Town Hall in Larkspur hit with graffiti, the doors painted to say 'idiot hick town,' two windows with 'No T-R-C-K Stop,' presumably referring to the T-R-U-C-K stop that's dividing the small town of less than 200 people.
