2-year-old Rockies fan in viral video meets Charlie Blackmon

Posted: Updated:

A video of the Colorado Rockies' littlest superfan, 2-year-old Tommy Carlson, went viral on social media this week.

Tommy gets REALLY excited every time he sees his favorite player, Charlie Blackmon on TV. And on Friday, the two met in real life.

Little Tommy, decked out in Rockies gear, is jaw-dropped as he walks toward Blackmon, who picks him up and gives him a fist bump.

Tommy's dad says he has no idea why his little one is so fascinated with Blackmon specifically, but he says he suspects it may be his recognizable beard.

The original video captures Tommy's reaction when he sees Blackmon during the All-Star Game.
