Art exhibit downtown gives encouraging messages

Posted: Updated:

An art exhibit in downtown Colorado Springs is proving to be much more than something interesting to look at, although you may have walked right by it without realizing what it was.

Art On The Streets features artists from all over the world, though the artist who created the "Affirmation Station" is actually from Denver.

The exhibit almost blends in with the rest of the street signs and symbols at the busy downtown intersection, but instead of direction, this sign gives passersby positive messages with just the push of a button.

The machine says things like, "Forgive yourself, and set yourself free." It serves as a reminder to treat others, and ourselves, with love and respect.
