No one is hurt after a small plane crashed and caught fire at Meadow Lake Airport on Highway 24 near Falcon Saturday afternoon.

El Paso County Sheriff's Office said the cause of the crash was likely a wind gust that disrupted the plane's take-off. The plane crashed into a culvert, spun around, and caught fire. The pilot and passenger were able to get out safely.

The NTSB was the lead investigating agency. They have concluded their investigation and have allowed the pilot to remove the remains of the aircraft from the airport.
