Suspect arrested in gun thefts

COLORADO SPRINGS -

A Colorado Springs man arrested and linked to a theft of several guns last month.

Police said Herbert Ross Vaughn is facing charges of possession of a weapon by a previous offender and providing false information to a pawn broker. Officers say he is linked to a burglary on May 15th, in which several guns were stolen.

The tactical team arrested Vaughn on Galley Road while serving a search warrant. Many of the stolen guns were recovered.   

Colorado Springs Police have not released information on where the guns were stolen from or if they are looking for any other suspects.

    The death of Tim Watkins has turned into a homicide investigation. Watkins' body found in the very place where he loved to ride on Sunday and there remain a lot of unanswered questions a day later. This news has most people on edge in the heart of Palmer Lake, with a strong warning from the El Paso County Sheriff's Office to remain vigilant. "It's a small town, you feel safe in a town like this, that's why people move here," David Tenace, a neighbor said.
