PUEBLO -

Today demonstrators will gather outside Republican Senator Cory Gardner's Pueblo office to protest Senate Republicans' latest revised health care bill.

The group, made up of "The Colorado Accountability Coalition" and "Pueblo Resistance," say the want to "Kill the Bill," arguing the plan will force 23 million people to lose their health insurance and will substantially cut Medicaid so the wealthiest 1% will get a tax break.

The new controversial bill eliminates many of the tax breaks that benefit high-income earners but doesn't restore any of the deep Medicaid cuts.

It also includes an addition to allow people to buy cheaper insurance policies on the exchanges and adds $45 billion for treatment of opioid addiction.

Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell says a vote on the bill will be held next week.
