Memorial Park shooting suspects still at large

Posted: Updated:

Colorado Springs Police responded to the Boathouse near Prospect Lake in Memorial Park Friday night on reports of an active shooter.

Upon arrival, officers found one man with a non-life threatening gunshot wound.

Police determined the shooting was not an active shooter situation -- the suspects fired shots during a disturbance and then fired more shots as they moved through Memorial Park.

Officers searched the area but no suspects were found. An officer saw a person who matched the suspect description at an apartment complex in the 500 block of E. Moreno Ave, but no suspects were located there.

CSPD says there is no danger to the public at this time. Anyone with information is asked to call Colorado Springs Police Department at (719) 444-7000 or anonymously call Crime Stoppers Tip Line at (719) 634-STOP (7867) or 1-800-222-8477.
