Job Fair event Friday to assist former Denny's employees

COLORADO SPRINGS -

Pikes Peak Workforce Center is hosting another job fair to help out Denny's workers left in a pinch when the southern Colorado locations closed earlier this month.

Of course, all other job seekers are welcome.

The event from 1 to 3:30 p.m. will have representatives from the following companies on hand to accept applications and conduct interviews:
Charter Communications, Conduent, Startek, Peak Vista, Discover Goodwill, Fairfield Inn and Suites, IHOP, LaQuinta, Colorado Department of Corrections

With a wide variety of employers comes a wide variety of job openings: Housekeeping, Personal Care Providers, Customer Service Agents, Servers, Cooks, Crew Members, and more.

    TORONTO (AP) - Investigators are awaiting the results of autopsies performed on Toronto billionaire and philanthropist Barry Sherman and his wife before determining the next steps in the ongoing probe into their suspicious deaths.

    The fight by some to remove the new blue frame at Garden of the Gods Park continues.  As of Sunday night, there were more than 18,000 signatures for an online petition to get rid of the structure.  "Hideous" and "vandalism" are just some of the words people are using to describe the display.  However, it's not all negative feedback.
