Lewis Palmer District 38 calls for early student pick-up because of weather

Lewis Palmer District 38 is encouraging parents to pick up their kids early from school because of more snow in the forecast.

With an additional few inches of snow expected, school officials made the call for early pick-up after 12:00 p.m. Thursday.

Recommended pick-up times are as follows:

  • Pick up elementary students by 3:15 p.m.
  • Pick up high school students after finals (Palmer Ridge High School 12:00 p.m., Lewis Palmer High School 12:30 p.m.)
  • Pick up 7th graders ASAP 
  • 8th grade continuations proceed as scheduled. Take students home after continuation. Remaining 8th grade blue team students will be transported back to Lewis-Palmer Middle School for normal dismissal/transport.
