KOAA's Colorado Ad Network benefits local schools

COLORADO SPRINGS -

KOAA presented checks totalling more than $11,000 to Colorado Springs District 11 and Widefield School District 3 for their participation in the Colorado Ad Network.

The funds from their participation in CAN provides support for scholarships and other programs.

KOAA's Kelli St. Clair atended the school board meeting in Widefield D3 to present the $11,568 check to the board. She also visited District 11's school board meeting with their $12,340 check.

    A family is asking why a repeat drunk driver is still on the roads after slamming into their 12-year-old daughter and leaving the scene. It happened on June 15th in the Falcon area long Meridian Road near Woodmen Hills Drive, a day Shayla Parsons will never forget. "They were both just screaming that she had been hit by a car," Parsons said.
