Large power outage restored in Fountain

FOUNTAIN -

Fountain Utilities reported a large power outage early Friday morning just after 1:00.

Fountain Utilities says the outage was caused by an underground fault in the area, and affected customers in the area of Athletic Avenue to Fontaine Boulevard, and Metropolitan Street to Cielo Vista Street.

Crews restored power around 2:45 a.m. If you notice you still do not have power you can contact Fountain Utilities at 322-2010.

    A controversial book has been pulled from a Colorado Springs middle school after administrators say it should have never made it into the school in the first place. But librarians filed a petition against this, saying it's censorship. The District 20 School Board essentially voted to reject this petition on Thursday night, saying the book called "Perfect Chemistry" is not suitable for a middle school audience because of its inappropriate content.
