CDOT wants your ideas, concerns about I-25 gap project

Posted: Updated:

It's a story we've been covering, and now the Colorado Department of Transportation wants your input on the future of I-25 between Lone Tree and Monument.

CDOT is hosting two public open houses for you to share your input. A Planning and Environmental Linkages study is currently underway to identify immediate and longer-term solutions along the stretch of interstate. CDOT says input is vital because the study is analyzing and looking to address issues related to safety, mobility and travel reliability.

The first open house will be held Tuesday, April 25 in Castle Rock at the Douglas County Fairgrounds Main Event Center at 500 Fairgrounds Rd.

The second will be Thursday, April 27 at the Pikes Peak 21c Library in Colorado Springs.

Each meeting will begin at 5 p.m. with a presentation at 5:30 p.m. It is expected to wrap up about 7 p.m.

CDOT representatives and project consultants will be on hand for questions and comments.

Additional information about the project can be found on CDOT's webpage
