COLORADO SPRINGS -

The Colorado Springs Sky Sox recorded its best start in franchise history through 12 games, hitting three home runs en route to a 13-4 win over the Memphis Redbirds in front of 2,109 at Security Service Field Wednesday afternoon.

With the win, the Sky Sox (9-3) own a six-game winning streak, which marks the longest winning streak in team history and ties the mark set by the 2012 club, who won six in a row from July 19-25.

Brett Phillips drove in a season-high six runs, cranking a go-ahead grand slam in the third inning and a solo home run during the seven-run seventh inning. Eric Sogard opened the scoring with a solo home run and finished his day with three RBIs on three hits while scoring three runs, while Kyle Wren (2 RBI), Ivan De Jesus (1 RBI) and Yadiel Rivera (1 RBI) also drove in runs for the Sky Sox (9-3).

For the second consecutive game, Memphis (7-7) opened the scoring with three runs in the first two innings. Chad Huffman belted a two-run home run in the first inning and Tommy Pham drew a bases-loaded walk to give the visitors a 3-1 lead after two innings, but Phillips and company exploded at the plate, finishing the day with a combined 27 runs and 31 hits in the first two games of the series.

The comeback started in the third inning. Starter Brandon Woodruff (3-0, 2.20) opened the inning with a single and advanced to second on a sacrifice bunt from Wren. With one out, Sogard walked and Lewis Brinson was hit by a pitch, loading the bases for Phillips, who launched his second home run of the season with a shot to dead centerfield. Sogard singled in Tyler Heineman one inning later to put Woodruff in line for his third win in as many starts.
