A home invasion that happened last Friday on the northeast side of Colorado Springs was a botched hit job, according to court records.

The suspects' target escaped by jumping over a balcony as two armed men forced their way into the home on Seclusion Point.

Detectives believe the man's ex-girlfriend, 39-year-old Anna Chamberlin, hired the men to kill him because he owed her money.

One of the suspects in the invasion, Jake Ricker, surrendered to officers during a standoff at the home.

Chamberlin and Ricker were both arrested and are being held at El Paso County Jail on charges of attempted murder, conspiracy, and aggravated robbery. One suspect is still at large.
