On Friday, January 27, 2017, at 7:13AM, officers from the Gold Hill Division of the Colorado Springs Police Department were dispatched to an apartment residence in the 800 block of Bayfield Way. Upon arrival, officers contacted an adult female victim who reported an attempted sexual assault.
Detectives assigned to the Special Victims Section, Adult Sexual Assault Unit, responded and conducted additional investigation. Detectives determined the female victim was at her residence when an unknown male forced his way inside and attempted to sexually assault her. The female fought the male suspect off and he fled the area by unknown means.
The male suspect is described as a white male, in his 30s, 5’11” to 6’ tall, very skinny, with a disheveled look. The suspect had short dirty blonde hair, green eyes, and scraggly facial hair. He appeared to have long facial features and a gauge in at least one of his ears. The suspect may have sustained scratches or injuries to his face or body as a result of the struggle with the female.
The identity of the suspect is unknown at this time. A composite sketch of the suspect accompanies this release. This is an active investigation.
