It’s the weekend before Halloween and that means there are tons of spooky events going on.
Halloween Cool Science Style
The Dinosaur Resource Center in Woodland Park is hosting a Halloween event, cool science style. There will be candy and costumes, but also interactive activities like making slime, worms, and fog. The event will run from 11:30 to 3:30 on Saturday with a parade at 2:30. Prizes will be given for the best costumes. The event will be included in the cost of admission, $10.50 for adults and $7.50 for kids. You can find more information here.
The Fountain Creek Nature Center is hosting a jack-o-lantern trail with pumpkins, crafts, roasted marshmallows, and other fun along the trail. Beginning Saturday at 5:30 you can come out in your costume to walk the trail and have some fall fun. Admission is $5 for member and $6 for non-members. You can find more information here.
Emma Crawford Coffin Races & Parade
The area’s most well know Halloween event will take place this weekend in Manitou Springs. Saturday from 12-3 the Coffin Races will take over the streets. 70 teams consisting of one Emma and four runners will race down Manitou Ave to compete for prizes. The event is free and there will be no shortage of Halloween fun. Find more information here.
Rockin’ Road To Dublin
If Halloween isn’t your thing, you can check out Rockin’ Road to Dublin. This new take on Irish Dancing is combined with a fusion of Irish and rock-n-roll music to create a spectacular experience. The show begins at 4 on Sunday at the Pikes Peak Center. Admission runs between $36 and $56.75. More information is available here.
