Fire crews are expecting the Hayden Pass Fire to continue to grow Wednesday, especially in the morning hours. According to fire officials, the fire grew to just under 13,000 acres by Wednesday morning, but noted that fire lines have been holding so far. Fire crews are using some of fire lines from the 2011 Duckett Fire. Officials say the fire is moving east and is within a quarter of a mile from structures.
Mandatory evacuations remain in place along County Road 6, south of County Road 45 and County Road 40, including the Fox Creek Subdivision.
Additional firefighting aircraft have been called in.
