FREMONT COUNTY -

Firefighter have been keeping a very close eye on the Hayden Pass Fire overnight.

So far, it's burned 12,193 acres, but according to officials the fire wasn't very active Tuesday, burning less than 200 acres.

Mandatory evacuations remain in place along County Road 6, south of County Road 45 and County Road 40, including the Fox Creek Subdivision.

Officials say the fire will spread to the south and the east. Firefighters are working on protecting homes in the evacuation zones by removing propane tanks and clearing leaves in gutters.

The fire is expected to move into the Duckett Fire Scar from 2011, officials said.

Officials will be hosting a press conference at 10:00 a.m. in Howard.

A community meeting will be held tonight at the Cotopaxi High School gym. It starts at 7:00 p.m., but doors will open at 6:30 p.m.
