82 year old Navy Pilot sings "Bodies" by Drowning Pool at America's Got Talent
John singing the lyrics to 'Bodies' by Drowning Pool
An 82-year-old retired Navy pilot and aerospace engineer that helped repair the Hubble telescope shocked the world on America’s Got Talent. John Hetlinger, out of Broomfield, Colorado, left the audience speechless when he sang 'Bodies' by Drowning Pool on a national stage. John took up karaoke only fifteen years ago, shortly after retiring. His song choice isn't that uncommon when you ask his wife, Marcy. "He likes attention, he's the youngest of 5 brothers."
He has gotten great attention thus far, including the band whose song he covered at the event. Drowning Pool gave John a shout out on Facebook stating, "Shout out to the 82 year old dude that snag 'Bodies' on America's Got Talent. You are welcome to join us on stage anytime !!!"
John loves the attention but isn't letting the critics get him down with statements such as. "Well admittingly, he doesn't sing very well."
