Your Healthy Family: One in three Americans not getting enough sleep

Posted: Updated:
COLORADO SPRINGS -

One in three Americans are not getting the recommended 7 hours of sleep each night.
That's according to a new study by the Centers for Disease Control.
Obesity, diabetes, and high blood pressure are all conditions that could be brought on by lack of sleep.
100 million Americans are putting themselves at risk.
Medical professionals are saying that technology, more caffeine, and busier lives are just some of the reasons we are not sleeping enough.
Experts say that you should make sleep a priority every night, just like you would make food and water a priority.
Talk to your doctor if you have trouble getting the recommended amount of sleep, even after making adjustments to your routine.
