A Colorado Springs woman was arrested after repeatedly crashing her mini-van into a house where a woman and her two children were inside, according to police.  Police say 56-year-old Carol Gallegos rammed her mini-van into a home in the 1400 block of Crestone Ave just before 5:00 p.m. Thursday.  Inside the home was a 24-year-old mother with her two small children.  Luckily, they were able to escape before the wall collapsed where the children were sitting.

Police say Gallegos fled the scene, running a red light at 21st and Cimarron and causing a four-car crash.  Gallegos was arrested at the scene and charged with three counts of attempted murder and driving under the influence, among other traffic charges.

Police have not said whether Gallegos knew the woman and children.
