Jamil Modaffari WILA player of the Week

Posted: Updated:
PUEBLO - Jamil Modaffari (Jr., Pen Yan, N.Y.) was tabbed the Western Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association Offensive Player of the Week Wednesday, becoming the first player in Colorado State University-Pueblo men's lacrosse history to earn a weekly honor from the conference.

In the ThunderWolves narrow, two-goal setback against Lincoln Memorial, Modaffari led the ThunderWolves' offensive attack, tallying program single-game records in points (6) and goals (4), while adding two assists. Modaffari's four goals extended his team-leading total to 15 for the season. The junior scored his four goals on just six shots, all of which were on goal. He added two ground balls as well.

Modaffari and the rest of the Pack return to action this weekend on the road at Colorado Mesa University (4-2, 3-0 WILA). The ThunderWolves and Mavericks will square off Friday with first faceoff set for 7 p.m. The Pack will remain in Grand Junction Saturday to face Westminster College in an exhibition contest.
