COLORADO SPRINGS (AP) -
After our warm start to the weekend yesterday we felt the effects of a cold front today. Currently we are a bit off the temperatures we were experiencing yesterday at this time. We have also had some gusty winds but those have died down a bit and migrated east of Colorado.
Numbers on the day again reflect the cold air mass that moved in and even though our morning low was well above our average our after noon highs were much cooler than yesterday. Right now we are fairly mild across the board with cooler temps as expected in the higher elevations. We will cool off fairly quickly tonight.
Temperatures start off cooler tomorrow morning but we should make it into warmer territory tomorrow afternoon. Best chances for precipitation are contained to the mountains of southern Colorado and northern New Mexico.
So even though today was cooler we start the week headed in the right direction. Temperatures back in the 70's for Colorado Springs and even into the 80's in pueblo.
After that we see another dip with our temperatures with highs cooling considerably as move toward the end of next week but for Easter Sunday the weather looks nice. For Woodland park and Canon City the story is the same but the temps just a bit cooler as they often are. Again not looking at any large rain or snow maker's right through Easter Sunday next weekend.
