A storm system moving through the southwest is pushing clouds, rain and snow into southern Colorado. The heaviest concentration of moisture tonight will be across the far southern quarter of the state. More clouds Saturday with rain and snow showers. Best chance of precipitation will be Saturday afternoon and night. Just light snow across the Pikes Peak region. Up to 1" possible by tomorrow night over northern El Paso county with little or no accumulation in Colorado Springs. Teller county can expect a trace to 2". No accumulation for Pueblo or Canon City. Walsenburg and Trinidad can expect up to 2" by Sunday morning. Wet mountains 1-4", Sangre de Cristo mountains 4-8" with the heavier amounts near the New Mexico border. Temperatures Saturday in the 30's and 40's. Partly cloudy Sunday with colder highs in the 30's. Much warmer and dry Monday and Tuesday. A cold front Wednesday could trigger a few light showers along with cooler high temperatures. Dry and warmer next Friday into the following weekend.
