Narrative:
James started working for News First in December of 1996. He anchored the mid-day newscast and weekend newscasts and now reports for News First Investigates. He's won numerous awards for his reporting from such organizations as the Associated Press, Colorado Broadcasters Association and the Southern Colorado Press Club.
He started his career in broadcast news at KCBY-TV in Coos Bay, Oregon. From there he moved to KTVL-TV in Medford, Oregon where he anchored, produced and reported.
James has also been a whitewater rafting guide. He started guiding on rivers in Washington and Oregon while he was in high school.
These days, when he's not working, he spends most of his time with his beautiful daughter, Olivia. She was born in July of 2000.
