Started at News First: Kristin joined News First 5/30 in August, 2007.
Hometown: Mountain Top, Pennsylvania
Previous station: Kristin had the wonderful opportunity to be a forecaster on the television show "Weather World," a 15-minute weather magazine show broadcasted live every weeknight across the state of Pennsylvania on PCN. The show is geared toward a weather-savvy audience, so it was a great experience for her.
Education: She received her Bachelors of Science degree in Meteorology from Penn State University, one of the strongest meteorology programs in the country.
Personal interests: Besides the weather, Kristin's other passion in life is mountain biking. She often competes in races and was on the Penn State Cycling Team in college. She loves the outdoors and tries to fish as often as possible. She's also a huge animal lover.
Interesting Fact: Kristin has always been surrounded by weather. Both her parents are meteorologists for the same TV station back in Pennsylvania. Growing up, the Weather Channel was constantly on and dinner table conversations were about fronts, troughs, and various other weather terminologies. It was almost second nature that Kristin chose a career in meteorology!
