Started at News First:  October, 2006

Hometown:  Seattle (Bellevue, WA)

Previous station:  KOBI (NBC) in Medford, OR

Education:  BA in Telecommunications, Broadcast News from Pepperdine University (Malibu, CA)

Industry awards:  Someone once told me I was really good on the air, but then realized she got me confused with someone from another station.

Personal interests:  Well, obviously sports.  I love to watch and play sports.  I'm also an avid fantasy sports geek.

In the few minutes per week that my life isn't being consumed by a sports-related activity, I also love to read, attempt to play the piano, play poker, snowboard (yes, I know this is also a sport), play Winning Eleven soccer, and watch Seinfeld.  I'm also an avid film and music buff.

Interesting Fact:  Back in the day, I used to conveniently have to stay home sick during March Madness, so I could watch the first and second rounds (48 games in 4 days). Please don't tell my mom.

About working at News First:  The News First sports team tries to understand the local audience as best as possible.  We strive to accurately deliver the sports stories Southern Coloradans want to hear.  If it's dinner table conversation at a household in the Springs, Pueblo, and beyond, you'll see it on News First sports.
