St. Mary’s Cathedral is significant architecturally and historically as the mother church of Roman Catholicism in the Pikes Peak Region. The first Mass in the area was said in Old Colorado City in 1860 by the pioneer priest, Joseph P. Machebeuf.
Centered in, and formed by Eucharist, the community of St. Mary's Cathedral as a stewardship parish opens wide our arms to all who come to worship in a vibrant way, and return as disciples to the broader community to be Christ, especially to the poor, lost alienated, and forgotten.
The Community of St. Mary's Cathedral invites all members to participate fully in the spiritual and social life of the parish.
