Colorado Springs Wendy's locations will be accepting Care and Share Food Bank for Southern Colorado food donations! We have 16 convenient locations in town to drop off Gatorade or high protein snacks for the Fire Fighters and in return you will receive a free Jr. Frosty!

Volunteer Opportunities From United Way
City Auto Plaza (in Canon City) has been designated a 'drop-off' point to the help the firefighters and local authorities.
They are asking for:water, Gatorade, snacks.This effort is being coordinated with the Canon City Fire Dept.Donations can be dropped off, at the dealership, between 8a and 9p.The dealership is located at: 3150 E. Hwy. 50 (east of Walmart)Donations will be taken directly to the fire station for distribution.
Spectrum Rehab and Max Performance would like to serve as a donation site for food and supplies to be donated to Care and Share for help in the relief effort. If you would like to help, you can drop off non-perishable items at any of our 3 locations:
Manitou Springs has plenty of Hotel Rooms available for evacuees of the Black Forest Fire. They may call the Chamber of Commerce 685-5089 for details.
McCloskey Motors is still accepting all donations as a Care and Share Drop Point and have the capacity to take donations of pet food as well, at both of our McCloskey Motors showrooms. Most needed right now: Pet Food, Chapstick, Sunscreen, Granola Bars/Breakfast Bars, Other canned and non-perishable goods. We are at McCloskey Truck Town (5515 N. Academy Blvd.) and McCloskey Motors (6710 N. Academy Blvd.) Everything donated will go directly to Care and Share to benefit the Black Forest Fire Relief Effort.

Free Help Line: Optum, a leading health and behavioral health services company, is offering a free emotional-support help line. The toll-free number, 866-342-6892, will be open 24 hours a day, seven days a week, for as long as necessary. The service is free of charge and open to anyone.
Panera Bread Starting on June 14, Panera Bread will donate $1 for every 10 pounds of food donated to Care and Share Food Bank (up to $10,000). Panera Bread will donate all items dropped off to the Care and Share Food Bank. Each Panera Bread café in Colorado Springs will have a drop off box for people to bring their donations.
AspenPointe Counseling Services The AspenPoints call center (572-6100) is open 7 days a week from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Callers who need assistance between 7 p.m. and 7 a.m. can call our crisis hotline: 635-7000.
Volunteer Email Database For those interested in volunteering to help those affected by the Black Forest Fire please email email@example.com. Your information will be put in a database that will be shared with those affected by the fire as well as the organizations working to serve the families.

Colorado House Republicans - Gift cards to supermarkets, fast food restaurants, convenience stores, gas stations and stores like Lowes, Walmart, Target and Home Depot, are the easiest and most efficient way to help victims of the Black Forest Fire. The El Paso County Disaster Assistance Center and the Tri-Lakes Cares are both accepting gift card donations and they have case managers ensuring secure, safe and responsible delivery of help to fire victims. Colorado State Fairgrounds is accepting animals displaced by the fire and evacuation.
Humane Society of the Pikes Peak Region (HSPPR) wants to remind pet owners with missing animals and residents who have found animals to visit www.hsppr.org/lost to fill out reports. Those without Internet access are encouraged to call 719.302.8794, a number dedicated to lost and found pets.
