Zonta of the Pikes Peak Area is the local chapter of Zonta International, a worldwide service organization of executives in business and the professions working together to advance the status of women. Proceeds from Zonta projects support causes such as the prevention of abuse and violence against women, halting human trafficking for sexual exploitation, educational scholarships and more.
The second annual Glass Slipper Ball is Zonta of the Pike’s Peak Area’s fundraiser. It will be Saturday, March 1, 2008 at the Crowne Plaza Hotel at Circle and I-25 in Colorado Springs from 7 p.m.- midnight. There will once again be the fabulous chef’s cook-off, featuring more than 20 of the area’s best chefs and their specialties. Add the silent and live auctions and dancing with Gentle Rain, and you have a magical evening, from which proceeds will go to help TESSA domestic violence prevention and assistance programs, The Women’s Resource Agency and scholarships for women seeking to advance their education and impact their communities and families positively.
