If breast cancer is detected early, the five-year survival rate exceeds 95 percent. News First 5&30 has partnered with Memorial Hospital Breast Care Center and Parkview Medical Center in the fight against breast cancer. Please stop by any Southern Colorado Kings Soopers or City Market Pharmacy to pick up a free Check for Life kit.

Each kit contains instructions to perform a breast self-examination (BSE) correctly as well as calendar stickers to remind you to perform your BSE every month. The kit has two of everything so that you can partner with a friend or family member to encourage each other to perform a BSE every month.
