Your forecast through Friday morning

For many of us, a blast of snow and wind has arrived. Winter Storm Warnings, Winter Weather Advisories and Blizzard Warnings cover most of the area, with the most dangerous combination of snow and wind expected to be from northeastern El Paso county eastward to Kansas and northward to Nebraska. (That's where the Blizzard Warnings are). The further west you are, the less snow you'll get, but even in the "didn't get much snow" areas, it's going to be slippery, as numerous accidents in and around Colorado Springs showed on Thursday.Snow will decrease in intensity during the day on Friday, with cold, breezy conditions continuing. Saturday will feature more clouds than sunshine, and highs near freezing. The sunshine will increase on Sunday, with warmer highs, followed by breezy, more mild conditions Monday through Thursday.
