Younger patients more likely to skip medications

New research suggests younger patients are twice as likely to skip their medications than senior citizens.

A study from the Centers for Disease Control found 13% of Americans under the age of 65 did not take their medications as prescribed in order to save money.

When it came to seniors, 6% also skipped doses for monetary reasons.

That may lead to poor health and more ER visits.
