Wristen is a national "Coach of the Year" finalist

It's been a dream season for the CSU-Pueblo Thunderwolves. The Thunderwolves are currently 10-0 and ranked second in the nation in Division II. They close out the season Saturday, at home, against Western New Mexico. A win would complete an unbeaten regular season and give CSU-Pueblo the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference championship.

Head coach John Wristen deserves a great deal of credit for the team's success. He's been the head coach ever since football was resurrected at CSU-Pueblo four years ago. He defied the odds by turning the program into a national powerhouse that quickly.

Now Wristen is a finalist for the Liberty Mutual Coach of the Year Award. And you can help him win. Created in 2006 the Liberty Mutual Coach of the Year voting is conducted online and you can vote once a day, every day if you would like. If John wins his charity of choice, the Breast Center of Excellence at St. Mary Corwin Hospital, receives $50,000 and the CSU-Pueblo Alumni Association gets $20,000. Voting ends December 3.
