Workforce Center changes location

The Pikes Peak Workforce Center has changed locations.

It's now in the El Paso County's new Citizen Service Center, off of Garden of the Gods Road.

Workforce Center employees say even with the new location, that's hasn't slowed down the numbers demanding services. Their first day open in the new center was Tuesday.

"We were full yesterday, we're full today," says Sherman Swafford, business relations manager and employment development director for the Pikes Peak Workforce Center.

Swafford says the new center gives them a lot more room to handle the increased numbers, as well as more resources to work with.

The old center on East Pikes Peak Avenue is now closed.
