About 15 volunteers gave up sleeping in on their weekend to help build a trail in Manitou Springs.
The Intemann Trail Committee hosted a workday to finish the link between the trail's Manitou Mesa section and the new Iron Mountain open space.
Coordinator Kenyon Jordan said the turnout was better than expected.
"I knew Paul Intemann, who was the person the trail is named after," he says. "I was part of the committee that formed after he died. It was his vision to do something good with the trails and we're working on that."
Each volunteer got an Intemann t-shirt for their effort.
There are more workdays this summer and volunteers are always needed.
