Late Friday night road crews shifted traffic along Woodmen Road onto the new overpass crossing Academy Boulevard. The bridge will carry both eastbound and westbound traffic until a second bridge can be constructed.
In the meantime, drivers at the interchange will face possible detours as construction of the on and off ramps is finished. The ramps under construction are located on the north side of the interchange. Traffic heading south on Academy will not have access to Woodmen during the closure. Likewise, traffic will be needing to access northbound Academy from Woodmen will also need to take a detour.
