Woodmen bridge at Academy soon to open

A big change will happen for motorists at the new Academy and Woodmen interchange tonight.
Beginning at 8 p.m. traffic on Woodmen will be shifted onto the new bridge over Academy and stoplights on Academy will be removed to allow for continuous traffic flow under Woodmen.
For the next two weeks traffic won't be able to turn north onto Academy from Woodmen or from southbound Academy onto Woodmen. Detours will be clearly marked.
Thousands of cars pass through this intersection every day.
