Researchers say many women at high-risk for breast cancer are reluctant to undergo MRI screening.
An MRI is a screening tool that can be used to identify early breast cancer often missed by mammograms and ultrasound. However, 42-percent of high-risk women in the study refused to undergo the procedure -- even if it was free of charge.
Most said they were claustrophobic - and afraid to be in the closed MRI machine. Others blamed time constraints and insurance concerns.
