A 55-year-old woman had just left a medical marijuana facility on Monday at about 7:35 p.m. in the 2300 block of E. Bijou Street, when she was contacted by a male, who had exited a white mini-van.
The suspect pointed a handgun at the victim and demanded her purse. A second man exited the van and also pointed a handgun at the victim as the first suspect struggled with the victim over control of her purse.
The two men eventually gained control of the victim's purse and drove out of the area in the van.
One suspect was described as a black male with a goatee, approximately 25-30 years of age, 5'8" tall, wearing a blue "windbreaker" jacket with gray or white accents and blue jeans and was armed with a dark colored semi-auto handgun.
The second suspect was described as a black male, approximately 20-30 years of age, 5'6" tall, wearing a gray colored shirt and very baggie pants and was armed with a dark colored semi-auto handgun.
The third suspect was only described as a black male. The third suspect was the driver of the suspect vehicle and remained inside of the vehicle during the robbery.
The suspect vehicle was described as a white colored, older model mini-van, plastic covering the rear window area, and had a "rusty and beat up" front passenger door.
