A Pueblo bar will hold a fundraiser tomorrow for a woman with a debilitating skin disease.
Michelle Payen, 33, was a runner and kick-boxer until three years ago when her fingers started turning blue. She has scleroderma, an auto-immune disease that causes the skin, blood vessels, muscles and tendons to harden and shrink. Eventually it can affect major organs.
She's hoping for a stem cell transplant and is trying to raise money to pay her medical bills.
A dinner, raffle and bake sale are planned tomorrow from 1 to 6 p.m. at Kim's Pixie Inn at 440 S. Santa Fe in Pueblo.
