***UNTIL 11 AM MST THIS MORNING***FOR YUMA AND CHEYENNE COUNTIES
You can expect snow/ice accumulations with total snowfall amounts of 1 to 2 inches are possible. Northerly winds of 30 to 40 mph with gusts approaching 50 mph are possible today creating blowing snow reducing visibility to under a mile.
***UNTIL NOON MST MONDAY***FOR THE WESTERN MOSQUITO RANGE, EAST LAKE COUNTY ABOVE 11,000 FT, LA GARITA MOUNTAINS ABOVE 10, 000 FT, INCLUDING CLIMAX AND NORTH PASS, AND THE ASCENT TO FREMONT PASS.
You can expect another 6 to 10 inches by noon Monday and southwest to west winds at 15 to 30 mph.
***UNTIL 6 AM MST TUESDAY*** FOR THE NORTHWEST PLATEAU, NORTHWEST HIGHLANDS, WEST CENTRAL PLATEAU, WEST CENTRAL MOUNTAINS, JEMEZ MOUNTAINS, AND THE UPPER RIO GRANDE VALLEY
You can expect additional snowfall of 1 to 3 inches below 7,500 feet and 3 to 6 inches above 7,500 especially across
southwest and west facing slopes above 7,500 feet. West and southwest winds of 10 to 20 mph with gusts to 30 mph at times.
This will impact travel across I-40 between Gallup and Grants, HWY 491 between Gallup and Shiprock, HWY 64 between Bloomfield, Farmington and the Arizona state line. Visibility will suddenly drop below one mile at times in heavier snow showers late tonight into Monday night.
***FROM 5 PM THIS AFTERNOON TO 11 PM MST MONDAY***FOR NORTHERN SANGRE DE CRISTO MOUNTAINS ABOVE 8,500 FT, THE WET MOUNTAINS ABOVE 6,300 FEET INCLUDING LA VETA PASS, PONCHA PASS, BLANCA PEAK, RYE, AND GREENHORN MTN.
You can expect 6 to 12 inches by late Monday night.
***FROM 5 PM THIS AFTERNOON TO 5 PM MST MONDAY***FOR PIKES PEAK, TELLER COUNTY AND THE RAMPART RANGE ABOVE 7,500 FT.
You can expect 4 to 7 inches with 9+ inches over Pikes Peak.
***FROM 11 PM THIS EVENING TO 5 AM MST TUESDAY*** FOR SOUTHERN SANGRE DE CRISTO MOUNTAINS ABOVE 7,500 FEET, INCLUDING CUCHARA, STONEWALL, WESTON AND SPANISH PEAKS.
You can expect 8 to 14 inches by Tuesday morning.
