Winter blast later this week

Warm weather will continue in southern Colorado for a couple more days all before much colder air will move in for the second half of the week. Breezy conditions will develop Tuesday and Wednesday. Because of the ongoing drought in southern Colorado, the breezy conditions on Tuesday will provide the plains with a very high fire danger. The cold front will swing through late Wednesday. High temperatures starting Thursday will be up to 40 degrees colder compared to Tuesday's highs. Some upslope moisture will possible with this cold blast, so some areas could see their first snowflakes of the season.
