It will be warm and windy again today. On the Plains winds will range between 15 and 25 mph with gusts to 30 mph, while over the mountains winds will range between 20 and 30 mph with gusts to 45 mph. A few light snow showers are possible over the northern mountains late this afternoon and evening.
Due to dry conditions in the San Luis Valley, a RED FLAG WARNING is in effect again for Wednesday afternoon and evening.
Thursday, the strong zonal flow will persist across the region, with windy conditions continuing. Also the slow timing of the frontal boundary will allow for another warm day across central and southeast Colorado. Although, there will be a slight chance for storms, with a few of them becoming strong.
Friday, it will be windy again, and cooler. There will be a slight chance for showers and thunderstorms, mainly in the higher elevations.
For the weekend, we will continue to see temperatures at or slightly below seasonal averages, with a chance for showers and thunderstorms.
