A wildfire has burned 12 acres in Grand Teton National Park and forced the closure of a trail and a viewing turnout on the Jenny Lake scenic loop road.
Park officials say the fire started Tuesday afternoon in a mixed conifer forest. The cause is unknown.
A ground crew, a helicopter and two engines were on scene Wednesday.
Park officials closed the Leigh Lake trail, a boat portage and backcountry campsite at Leigh Lake, and the Cathedral Group scenic turnout.
