The widow of a Colorado Springs tow-truck driver dragged to his death earlier this year speaks at Capitol today to support a tow-truck safety bill.
Renne Rose along with other tow-truck drivers and bill sponsor, John Morse talked about a Senate bill that would require tow-truck drivers to affix large stickers to drivers' windows alerting drivers that the vehicle is being towed.
The driver who killed 35-year-old Allen Rose told police she didn't know Rose was towing her vehicle.
The safety bill also creates a new misdemeanor of assaulting a towing-truck operator trying to tow a car along with other safety measures.
A Senate committee hears the bill this afternoon
