Who started it? No suspects a year after the Waldo Canyon Fire

Who started the fire? The question remains unanswered at the one year anniversary of the Waldo Canyon Fire. "I have to say that right now without somebody coming forward and providing us information I don't know that we're going to solve this," said Lt. Adrian Vasquez with Colorado Springs Police.

Hundreds of homes burned. Two people died. Investigators have gathered extensive evidence. Witness information has helped develop a timeline of when the disaster started. Many are curious about the details, but specifics are kept confidential so if more witnesses come forward their accounts can be validated.

The case is stalled, but investigators still have a strong desire to solve the case. They hope attention around the one year anniversary may prompt more tips.
"One person still knows, at least one person knows who did this. Probably more if they've told somebody. Somebody out there has some information," said Vasquez.

The Waldo Canyon Fire tip line is still operating. The number is 385-2222. A reward is still available.
