Twenty-five pilot whales have been found dead south of Florida's Marco Island in the Ten Thousand Islands, according to Florida Fish & Wildlife.
The mammals were found on Kice Island, across Caxambas Bay from Marco.
NOAA says these are the same whales that were in Gordon Pass in Naples last Sunday and in Marco Pass on Monday.
They are not the whales involved in the stranding at New Pass on Lovers Key in Lee County.
The whales were spotted by a boater Thursday afternoon. There are 16 females and nine males, according to NOAA.
