The Sand Gulch fire southwest of Wetmore is now 100 percent contained.
The fire started on April 26 and was apparently caused by lightning.
It burned 495 acres. About fifty firefighters will remain on scene through the weekend. No structures were damaged.
The National Forest Service will continue to update area residents on current fire information at the Wetmore Community Center.
